Do you have family rules that if a movie is related to a book, you must first read the book? My family has this rule, and my family reads a lot! Here is my brother’s blog if you are interested in an advanced avid reader.
Although I don’t remember how exactly I started my journey with Ms. J. K. Rowling, as far as I started reading the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the rule also went into effect. And if you, my friends, are unfamiliar with this book, keep reading; it will make sense.
Harry Potter, J. K. Rowling.
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone;
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets;
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban;
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I started reading the first book when I was almost six years old. I began to read it in Bulgarian, and guess what? I am coming from Europe. Probably you know this book as
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
well, I don’t. The actual name is
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,
but the American publishers decided to change the name.
Percy Jackson, Rick Riordan.
- The Lightning Thief
Do you know that there is a new movie series about Percy Jackson? There are movies before that. I thought I would never be interested in either of the books, and I was wrong.
The Greek Mythology
Before reading Percy Jackson, I needed preparation to learn about Greek Myths. It is exciting, believe me!
Wonka
I went to see the movie, and after that, I found the book.
Mal’s spellbook
- Book 1
- Book 2
Well, Descendants movie. I am growing up in a family with my brother as a sibling.
Wonder
Getting ready for fifth grade, you will think? No. My teacher, Mrs. Chahal, started reading the book for us, and I couldn’t stop.
The Chronicles of Narnia, C. S. Lewis
Well, I don’t remember how I started reading it, but I loved the series.
Agatha: Girl of Mystery
I read Agatha (Агата и Лари) in Bulgarian language, actually.
The Fairy from the Sugar Bowl
Again, in Bulgarian.
Roald Dahl
I read quite a few books by Roald Dahl.
American Girl
- Meet Kirsten (American Girl: Kirsten, 1854) by Janet Shaw.
Dara out.
