Danny, the Champion of the World

By Roald Dahl

Have you wondered what Danny the Champion of the World is about?

This book is about a boy named Danny, whose mother died when he was only four months old. Danny’s father takes care of Danny all on his own. Danny lives in an old caravan next to a filling station. At night, Danny’s father poaches in a wood not far from the filling station. The most interesting part is when Danny makes a brilliant plan to catch all the pheasants from the woods without being caught.

Note: When you grow up and have children of your own do please remember something important: a stodgy parent is no fun at all. What a child wants and deserves is a parent who is

SPARKY.

Please read the book and come share your thoughts about it.

Dara out.
