Science Comics: Computers: How Digital Hardware Works by Perry E. Metzger, Jerel Dye (Illustrator), Penelope Spector

Published in 2025, the new Science Comics: Computers is dedicated to the world’s technology used everywhere – the computer. Humans created computers, and the fundamentals of computer architecture are easy for everyone to understand.
The VENIAC, which stands for Velociraptor Edna’s Numerical Instruction Automatic Computer, is a pretend computer invented for this book.
Veniac is a real computer, and it can do the things other computers can do. It’s just simpler for a beginner to understand. The browser-based simulator is still under construction. While I was reading about Veniac in the comic, my dad had a great idea: he suggested I try making my own simulator so I can run programs with HTML and JavaScript! I couldn’t do it alone, but luckily, my awesome dad, who’s excellent at engineering, helped me out. It’s super fun to work on this project!
The link to the current, working simulator is here: https://dara.lakd.net/veniac/, but please note that, while I keep reading, I find different restrictions on veniac, which I will update. Please write me back with your ideas or suggestions.
Dara out.
